Welcome to Our Own English High School, Fujairah!
A year in the life of a school is a significant milestone on the exciting journey that is education. It is indeed a pleasure and a privilege to share some highlights of this journey. I invite you to share our joy and celebrate the innate talents and the aptitude of the learners, the support and engagement of the parents and the hard work and dedication of the teachers.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, signed the certificate himself for Anat Durgham Abdulhameed, an outstanding student from our school who was honored as one of the toppers in the Arab Reading Challenge Project. This makes us all proud to be a part of GEMS Education, proud of Our Own English High School, Fujairah and full of pride at our student's achievement.
Keeping with the tradition of excellence in holistic education, Our Own English High School Fujairah made its mark at the Sharjah Award for Academic Excellence 2016 as Shahd Samy, a student of Senior 4, won the award in the Outstanding Student Category.
Akshit Sharma was adjudged as the Best Speaker in the 17th Annual Inter-School Debate organized by GEMS Our Own Indian School, Dubai in association with the Consulate General of India, Dubai.
Ayesha Memon who was awarded the HH Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award UAE for scoring the highest mark in the World in the Cambridge IGCSE Mathematics Examination and being “Top of the World”.
Davis Koshy who scored 100% in Biology in the CBSE Grade 12 Examination, to become the World Topper in the subject.
Rahatara Sadique who received H. H. Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards, UAE for scoring the highest mark in the UAE for Chemistry in the Cambridge International Examination and being “Top of the UAE”.
CBSE Grade 12 Results 2018:
Keeping with the tradition of producing the best results in the region, Our Own English High School, Fujairah recorded a remarkable performance in the CBSE All India Senior School Certificate Examinations (AISSCE) 2018.
Abdullah Ansar Mohammed and Lakshmi Reghu jointly topped the Science Stream with 94.8%. Madhavi Suresh Babu and Hana Iqbal jointly stood second in the Science stream with 93.4%, while Mirza Mohammad Farooq stood third with 90.8%.
Abdullah Ansar emerged as the World topper in Physics and Mathematics with 100% marks.
Vignesh Vijayan topped the school and the Commerce Stream with an aggregate of 95.8 %. Nasrin Akter stood second in the Commerce stream with 88.6%, followed jointly by Elwin Saji Cherian and Nakka Niranjan who stood third in Commerce with 85% aggregate.
92.3% of the students scored above 60% while 69.2% of the students scored above 70%.
The highest in individual subjects from OOF were as follows: Mathematics – 100, Informatics Practices – 99, Physics – 100, Chemistry – 99, Biology – 97, Business Studies – 99, Economics – 99, English – 95, Accountancy – 96.
CBSE Grade 10 Results 2018:
We are extremely delighted to share the brilliant CBSE Grade 10 results posted by our students. Of the 75 Grade 10 students who wrote the CBSE Examination all have secured 100% pass. 21.3% percent secured an aggregate of 90% and above. 61% students secured 75% and above, and 84% students secured above 60%. The School Average is at 78% .

Fifty-Four students appeared for the IGCSE examination. The high achievers are:

MD ABU BAKKAR SAZID who scored 6A*, 2A and 198/200 in Math
MOHAMMED WALEED METWALLY NASR who scored 7 A*, 1B
FADY MOURAD SAAD KAMEL NASRALLAH who scored 5A*, 3A
ALAA TAREK SABRI HELMI AWAD TAMER who scored 6A*, 1A, 1B
KAMEL KAMALELDIN MOUSTAFA KAMEL who scored 6A*, 1A, 1B
33% of our students achieved A* and A, 49.6% achieved A*-B and 65% of the students have achieved grades between A* - C and this indeed is the outcome of the collaborative hard work done by the students, parents, teachers, and school.
Our Own Fujairah Team was awarded the prestigious SEWA Pioneer Award – School category for our social outreach project – “Bridging the Digital gap”.
In the Soccer Tournament organised by The Kindergarten Starters, Dubai, the Under 8 team lifted the Champions Trophy and the Under 10 were the Runners up. Two of our Under - 10 players Khaled Sulaimam Khamis and Khaleifah Mohammad Ali Jumah were awarded best players of the team.
Our students struck Gold in the CBSE Under 14 Badminton UAE Cluster Championship – Team members Fazim Anzar, Shehil Mohamed and Vedant Mahesh will represent the UAE in the CBSE Nationals.
Our students once again proved their dominance in the school soccer circuit as they lifted the Champions Trophy of the Aliasger Memorial U-14 Inter-school Soccer Tournament organized by GEMS MODERN ACADEMY. Abdul Rahman Tarek and Salam Al Saidawi were the stars of the tournament, bagging individual trophies for being the Best Attacker and the Best Midfielder respectively.
Our team led by Stelvin Sabu won the First prize in the Inter School Quiz contest organised by the Kairali Cultural Association. Kairali Quiz is the biggest quiz event in the East Coast region. Apart from this, our teams led by Tejal Jain and Velayudam bagged Second and Third prizes respectively.
Our students bagged the overall trophy in the Inter School Children’s Festival organised by the Indian Social Club, Fujairah yet again.

Grade 12 Results 2017:
45 students took the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) 2017. Roshin Mary Varghese and Linu Elizabeth George topped the school and the Science Stream with 96.2 %. Khadeeja Humayoon stood second with 96% while Stelvin Sabu Thomas stood 3rd in Science with a 94.8%.
In the Commerce stream, Joshua Thomas Rejee stood first with a 92.8%. Lizbeth Jibi Godwin stood second with 90.4% and Shraddha Subir Chakraborty stood third with 88%.
The other noteworthy achievers were Jasleen Sohal (92.6%), Alan Johny (92.4%) and Roshan Reju (90.6%).
A snapshot of the AISSCE 2017 results:
- 100% of the students passed the exam and No compartments.
- 20% of the students scored over 90%.
- Subject average increase of 12.6% in Chemistry, 10.1% in Math, 9.7% in Physics, 2.6% in Biology.
- 8% increase in overall Science aggregate.
- Highest in individual subjects: Math – 99, IP – 99, Physics – 97, Chemistry – 97, Bio – 97, Business Studies – 96, Economics – 96, English – 95, Accountancy - 89
Grade 10 Results 2017:
Twenty three (29.1%) students secured a perfect Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 10, 50.6% students secured above 9 CGPA and 75.9% students secured above 8 CGPA. The school average CGPA is 8.8.
The subject averages recorded a fantastic success rate with top results in all subjects being higher compared to 2015-2016.
CIE Results 2017:
67 students took the CIE-IGCSE 2017. 27.8 % of those student obtained A* to A grades while 59.7% of them gained A* - C grades.
Fathima Jabbar topped the school by securing 6A* and 1A. She also scored 198/200 in Mathematics. Nehal Mohamaed Kaseem followed her by scoring - 5 A* and 3 A. Shahd Samy and Mohammed Aziz stood third by achieveing 5 A*,2 A and 1B each.
Grade 12 Results 2016: 49 candidates appeared for the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE), 2016. 100 % of the students passed the exams. The subject averages of 5 subjects showed a year-on-year improvement. English had the highest subject average of 89.2% followed by Informatics Practices and Economics which had an aggregate of 86.8%. Kaashvi Kothari came First in the Commerce Stream with an overall aggregate of 94.8%. Pavithra Moorthy stood Second with a score of 93%. Ansu Susan Ajith came Third with an aggregate of 91.6%. In Science, Vaibhaav Srinath Dev topped the stream, scoring an overall aggregate of 91.4%. Meghna Reddy and Adarsh Babu were joint Second at 90.8%.
Grade 10 Results 2016: Fifty Eighty students had appeared for their CBSE Grade 10 examinations held in March 2016. The Average Cumulative Grade Point this year was 8.24%. This indeed is the outcome of the collaborative hard work done by the students, teachers, school and parents. The names of students who achieved a CGPA of perfect 10: Aaditi Roy, Hana Iqbal Kashish Arif Ali Khan, Lakshmi Reghu, Madhavi Suresh Babu, Prisca Susan Matthew, Sneha Sajeev, Abdullah Ansar Mohammad and Vignesh Vijayan.
CIE Results 2016: Fifty Nine students appeared for their IGCSE - CIE examinations. The result showed an improvement of 10% over last year’s. 33% students achieved A* - A and 71% of the students have achieved grades between A* - C and this indeed is the outcome of the collaborative hard work done by the students, teachers, School Leadership Team and parents. Some of the students whose performance needs a special mention are:

Joudi Kustantin who has been awarded 6 A* and 1 A.
Shamini Vinodya De Silva who achieved 6 A* and 1 A.
